  30. The poster is operating under the probably-misguided presumption that the Icon 
  31. runtime environment and program behavior rules are anything remotely like those 
  32. of traditional C programs and routines.  While such a compiler *could* certainly 
  33. produce "C" code, you can be sure that it wouldn't look much like any 
  34. application you'd ever seen written "in C".  :-)

  36. And if the database stuff can be accessed (cleanly) at the Icon level, I 
  37. couldn't care less whether there's anything remotely approaching C source 
  38. related to the program (in fact, I'd probably rather keep it as it is, so the 
  39. Icode files can be so much smaller).
